Rainy Days

I love rainy days. I will go sit on the porch on our swing as the world grows greener in front of my eyes. It is so peaceful. I like the steady plinking of the rain dripping from the gutters and the continuous sound of the rain hitting the leaves in the trees.

Of course, today I slept through the rain. Now the world is greener, but I didn't get to see it turn green. It's days like these that remind me of the forests around here. When I was little my family and I would go to one of the state parks and spend a couple to nights camping. One of my favorite parts was when we would take a nighttime walk through the campground. Sometimes we would even find somewhere grassy and lay down to look at the stars. When I need inspiration now, all I have to do is climb on the roof and stare at the stars for a few minutes.

Wear Your Dinkles Day

 

I had a really nice nap in world history today. We were watching some video about WWI and WWII and I was tired. I was up making cupcakes at midnight last nigh for my friend's birthday. They're part of her present. Did you know that they don't seem to sell $10 iTunes gift cards anymore? Why? I don't want to give her $25!

 

Today was supposedly "Wear Your Dinkles Day". Dinkles are those ugly white shoes the band wears to march in at parades. Pretty much the whole band wore them today. I think they actually got extra credit for it. Unfortunately, some of my friends are in band...

 

 

New Experiences

I'm lost.

 

Technology doesn't like me. It has come to the point that my computer will shut down in the middle of a homework assignment. For some reason, it never happens to any other person in my family.

 

Starting a blog is just about the most daring thing I have ever done. Let's just hope I can get this posted before the computer shuts down on me.
